Shorts On Tap and Brit Es present ‘SINCERIDAD’ by Andrea Casaseca as part of CORTOMETRAJES, 7 Spanish Short Films

We are very proud to announce the upcoming screening in London of ‘SINCERIDAD’ (Sincerity), a short film directed and written by Andrea Casaseca. The film it is included as part of the programme of CORTOMETRAJES, 7 Spanish Short Films, a screening event curated and produced by Shorts On Tap and Brit Es Magazine.

We are very proud to announce the upcoming screening in London of ‘SINCERIDAD’ (Sincerity), a short film directed and written by Andrea Casaseca. The film it is included as part of the programme of CORTOMETRAJES, 7 Spanish Short Films, a screening event curated and produced by Shorts On Tap and Brit Es Magazine. This is our second event together and will take place on 18 February at 93 Feet East, a legendary spot in the heart of East London, the Old Truman Brewery at 150 Brick Lane.

The programme is made up of a special selection of 7 short films which offer an eclectic point of view on the reality of today across different genres. As well as watching the films themselves, the audience will get the chance to talk to the directors and there will also be a number of special guests.

‘SINCERITY’  (Spain, 2013) itis a dramatic comedy film which has received more than 80 selections and 20 awards around the world, such as First Prize Of The Jury For Best International Short Film at CLIPAWARD KURZFILMFESTIVAL (Germany); Prémio Curtíssima at ARCUME FESTIVAL DE CURTAS-METRAGENS DE FARO (Portugal); Audience Award at DOC NEXT NETWORK (Poland); “Art.3″ Award For The Social Committed Shorts at KIMERA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (Italy); Audience Award For Best Short Film at FRESNO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (California); Best Screenplay at FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CORTOMETRAJES DE TEMATICA SOCIAL SOLO PARA CORTOS (Spain) or the Audience Award at DOC NEXT NETWORK in Poland. “Sincerity” it was also pre-selected for the Goya Spanish Awards in 2014.

Synopsis: After lunch, David must confess the news to his parents. What he still doesn’t know is the impact it will have in them.

The cast is formed by Kiti Manver, a experienced Spanish actress who has worked with Miguel Bardem, Pedro Almodóvar, Icíar Bollaín, Alex de la Iglesia and many other renowned directors, she plays Charo; Javier Laorden as Tomas and Gerald b. Fillmore, a Spanish-British actor, screenwriter and filmmaker, playing the son who has found a job.

Andrea Casaseca is a screenwriter and director from Madrid, Spain. She has a degree in Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations as well as a Master’s degree in filmmaking and TV series production at Globomedia production. She is an award-winning independent filmmaker who has directed several short films. Through her company BORN TO FILMMAKING she offers audiovisual production services to national or international projects. She directs, produce and postproduce any audiovisual contents as commercials, music videos, short films and corporative videos.

Doors open at 7pm for a pint & networking session. Films screening start at 8pm and show ends approximately at 10:30pm. The screening room is situated at the back of the venue. Special guests from film industry.
