About Us

Brit Es* is a place where contemporary British and Spanish culture are brought together through articles on design, art, cinema, photography, music, theatre, and more. We are a group of friends, professionals from different disciplines, living mainly in London, Edinburgh, Madrid, and A Coruña. We are not business people, this is a project carried out alongside our other jobs.

We at Brit Es firmly believe that by promoting the work of Iberian and Latin American artists and filmmakers to an international public, we are assisting an intercultural dialogue between citizens and encouraging tolerant societies, especially these days, in the era of Trump and the Brexit. For us, the internationalization of artists is directly linked to freedom of artistic expression. Curated contemporary cultural editorials and events create and contribute to the development of ideas and art strategies that address the world in all its complexity and also create opportunities for emerging creative people.

Last December 2016 we were extremely excited to take the project one step further by unveiling the first printed edition for our annual magazine; this issue will be entitled “Dreams” and celebrates material and highlights some of the best Spanish emerging artist and contemporary and cultural projects which transform creativity into something, to say the last, exciting. *We use the concept Brit Es to define the people, projects, trends, and cultural offerings in the UK that have a Spanish quality or origin but are also influenced by and inseparable from British culture. In the same way, the concept Es Brit refers to Brits who are working in Spain or influenced by Spanish culture.
